I checked and I did indicate the correct brown color for Marcus’s skin…the people that dump in the colors screwed up. I never see the final colored version until it runs, unfortunately.
Ha ha! Great strip. And yet, through all the pain, those hugely heavy bags are filled with goodies we stay up all night reading. So, then there’s the exhaustion.
My daughter would always bring back the greatest items, from signed books by artist sh liked to the year she ran all over to various stops to get me a ” The Last Airbender ” mouse pad !
I thought that the Flash was Jason’s girlfriend Eileen, not Marcus, until Bill spoke up and explained the deal.

I know you all have heard it before but I’ll say it again, Foxtrot needs to be a daily again! Foxtrot was one of the best at running a long story arc. I miss Jason and his pals going to summer camp. Or the annual vacations his family took. The Christmas story arcs were always great. You can’t get that by just running a Sunday strip. Well, unless you’re Prince Valiant, and that’s just a different story.
Come on Bill, we know you’re watching. No need to reply. Just think about it.
Man, you nailed it! Every year, I ask myself if the aggravation, exhaustion, stifling crowds, sold out presentations, overpriced taxis and fleabag hotels, all of which get progressively worse each year, it seems, are worth it…and yet, I come back every year! Hope to see you there. :)
Hey Bill; glad to see you about letting us know what is up.

“Always wondered whether Superman could outrun The Flash???” This was once determined in a very old issue of DC comics some time back in the 70s. I remember it, because I owned the issue. and … I won’t tell who won….
Please bill can you go backto daulys for just one year it would be awsome to see foxtrot dailes again because cpmicon week would be fub to read about .
I wish they would change the bleeep comic. Oh well. Can’t have everything. And in Paige’s case, anything.
Anyway, Superman would win with his other super powers like laser vision. It would be just like kids’ shows! First he evaporates the Flash, then he walks to the finish line!
I also love Fox Trot and would like to see it in dailies again. Have you thought about letting the kids age a year or so? It mighr really add to the storyline. Peter could start freaking out about college (and in a year or 2, he could go to college and live at home), Paige could learn to drive (yikes!), and Jason… well, I’m not sure he’d pass any milestones, but that could still make a bid difference.
FoxTrot is a comic strip with attitude, wit and a big dose of reality. Bill Amend’s brilliant understanding of sibling rivalry and generational struggles comes to life in a refreshing blend of humor and truth.
Readers of all ages will love this glimpse into family life with the FoxTrot gang. Come and laugh with Roger and Andy, and their kids Peter, Paige and Jason.

Shouldn’t Marcus Jones’s skin is black in colour.
Or Jason got a new friend
Amend: Hmmm… maybe wrong click with photoshop?

Billamend: Nice to see you here. Oh well. One could argue since Flash is white, he goes along with the costume. Anyway, great script :D

Hey, Bill! Good to see ya haunting the strip comment section! Hope you’re having a good weekend!
We can just chalk it up to stage make-up, perhaps? In the name of Flash authenticity?

Do what you think best, Mr. Amend, but know that yours was and remains one of the best comic strips out there.

I started to wonder if Marcus had suffered some sort of newly undiscovered comic strip skin disease. We’d name it photoshopcolordontworkrightatobia.
The simple cure-all is bashing the color editors fingers with a hammer til they turn blue … assuming that the color editor knows what blue is.

which flash? Golden age? Silver age? Impulse?

That costume is Barry Allen’s, the Silver Age Flash, who’s actually back in the game now.
