    A collider is a device physicists use to smash subatomic particles into one another at high speed. The CERN Hadron collider is the largest such device and is used to search for the Higgs boson, a particle thought to exist and thought to be central to modern physics theory.

    I’m just surprised that they didn’t turn themselves into living embodiments of the Uncertainty Principle (so that no one could tell where they were and how fast they were moving at the same time).

    Come to think of it, that’s what I did in dodgeball. :)
