   Amend must have a background in science and engineering. I’ve noticed that the equations he puts on the blackboard from time to time actually make some sense.

    Einstein was a genius, but that doesn't mean that he wasn't an a**hole. SchmoozeMinkey seems to imply that he signed off on the atomic bomb (which, really, would have happened anyway without him) just to be a jerk, which is silly. But if you've read about how he treated his family …. I'll refrain from a judgement, but his intelligence cannot put him above criticism.
