In September of 1991, Mike Morgan began drawing For Heaven’s Sake!, a comic strip published in the religion section of The Macon Telegraph. The weekly cartoon celebrates the faith and pokes fun at the foibles of the characters who make up the congregation of "Mainline Memorial Church."

even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints practises baptism by immersion (I also recall a “For Heaven’s Sake” months back where this same reverend said he believes in baptism by sprinkling; the boy who asked him is about to jokingly turn on the garden sprinkler as the reverend was lounging in his lawn chair)

Being in the desert, the tribes knew how precious and rare fresh water was. So of course it became a sacrament. And used as a means of rebirth ritual with the water also representing amniotic fluid—-the water breaking just before birth.
