In September of 1991, Mike Morgan began drawing For Heaven’s Sake!, a comic strip published in the religion section of The Macon Telegraph. The weekly cartoon celebrates the faith and pokes fun at the foibles of the characters who make up the congregation of "Mainline Memorial Church."

I’d think it would be the worst of being a parent and being the president.

Did anyone see on the news about NC Baptist church wanting to burn bibles no King James versions and some of Billy Gramham crusades articles? I told my sister this she goes to a Baptist she saw nothing wrong with this I was amazed at the audacity. Our church would never do this.

Doctrine and dogma - meant to clarify, instead they divide.

kab2rb - do you have any reference on this? Just curious, but I wasn’t able to find anything about such a thing.

Try this: Book Bonfire
- 10/12/2009
It’s a new church, it’s and already starting a controversy. The Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Canton plans to hold a Halloween bonfire. They will burn books, including the Bible! The pastor says some versions are a perversion of God’s work. The burning will also include pop music and books by contemporary Christian authors like Billy Graham and Rick Warren.

Amazing Grace Baptist in Canton is an aberration not acceptable to the vast majority of Evangelicals. It is an embarrassment.
Saying that, it will almost surely be more successful than an educated congregation that loves such traditional American virtues like free speech and common sense.
