As originally written: “I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” It was written in 1892 as a marketing slogan for selling flags by a man who was kicked out of his ministry for his socialistic political views.

It is a reflection on what our society was founded upon, not the idoitic remarks of marey and his not knowing about our nation’s motto, In God We Trust

Sheesh, lighten up. This country was founded on Judeo-Christian values. No one forces anyone to say ‘under God’ in the pledge. If you don’t agree, don’t say it.

For Heaven's Sake by Mike Morgan

In September of 1991, Mike Morgan began drawing For Heaven’s Sake!, a comic strip published in the religion section of The Macon Telegraph. The weekly cartoon celebrates the faith and pokes fun at the foibles of the characters who make up the congregation of "Mainline Memorial Church."
