    This is kinda like Disney. His staff knew to quit goofing off when they heard his smoker’s cough. (Or would that be to quit “goofy-ing” off?)

    They knew that they only had a Minnie to get back to work ?

    I guess everybody was taking the Mickey out of Walt.

    I can’t believe they were always trying to Duck work.

    Walt would have to be living on Pluto not to notice eventually.

    no1scouse: Herptaphobes changed the name. Another classic was originally called Cluedo, and yet another The Landlord Game.

    Lynn’s Notes:
    Our folks could never sneak up on us because there were so many squeaky floorboards in the hall. We, on the other hand, knew where each one was.

    True, the original concept was the Snakes and Ladders game from India, but when Milton Bradley brought it to the US, they made the snakes into chutes.
    In the 1950’s, we had a game which pictured little playground slides…very similar to the game the kids are playing.
    Yes, I know this is a Canadian comic, but chances are, those are chutes, not snakes.
    Either way, it was a great game, still fun to play.

    I grew up in Canada and only ever played “Snakes and Ladders.” I hadn’t heard of “Chutes” until it was mentioned here on Gocomics a few months ago.

    @hippogriff

    It’s only ‘Chutes and Ladders’ in the US, everywhere else in the world it’s ‘Snakes and Ladders’
