    Did Farley eat the snow sculpture or “melt” it?

    Don’t think that a snowman qualifies as real property, since it’s temporary, nor personal property since the materials came from the sky and are also temporary. Hard to assess a dollar value on something ephemeral. (Real property being a term for things like the house, sheds, etc.)

    @Nabuquduriuzhur

    I think the snowman was located on “Real property”.
    Elly could have baked him some brownies or a big ol’ cake, but after causing the “towing and impound charge” he’ll be lucky the kids don’t take revenge come Halloween.

    Lynn’s Notes:

    Gary Larson (The Far Side) once sent me a Christmas card, which showed a house with a brightly lit window through which you could see a group of wildly partying dogs. In front of the house, on a white lawn, was a snow sculpture of a fat cat. A path of paw prints lead from the door to the snow cat — the side of the cat was yellow! I guess cartoon minds think alike.

    I’ve only left the gate open a couple of times, but we don’t have to worry much about our St Bernard

    Lola found the gate open once and came around the house and “knocked” on the front door to let us know

    The only other place I can imagine her going would be a couple houses down where her play-date buddies live

    I’m guessing from look on Farley’s face in the last panel, he “melted” the sculpture. Because he seems VERY proud of himself!
