    So the dentist has become his own patient, huh? He just couldn’t resist his kids’ Halloween candy.

    I always thought they “traded off” their dental care with another dentist. :P

    I don’t believe Elly is a dentist.

    I guess the old adage ‘Physician, heal thyself’ applies to dentists, too….

    Another lost filling? If I had more than one come out I think I’d be hunting for a new dentist John.

    I bet she was enjoying her scolding of the boss dentist.

    Salt water taffy is the dentist’s best friend.

    I can easily see losing a crown to toffee, but if you loose a filling to food, I say get a different dentist.

    Oh sure get John doped up on nitrous oxide, then have him work on another person’s teeth afterward. At least the talking
    will be limited.

    Ya know, if we did only what everybody else told us was good for us, life would be boring, at best, and close to not worth living at worst.

    Since the last panel is obscured by ads for Lynn’s podcasts and a new book (if you add width="360" as an img tag attribute, it will be confined to the comment box width), you can also see it (in color even) here in the May 29, 2008 archived strip.

    @firebrand1

    You do not need nitrous oxide to have a filling replaced. In and out no issues.

    Thanks, I really enjoyed that. I’m sure the Elly haters would hate it.
