The kid has the right idea, if only the father would listen to him.

I think the colorist forgot to read the strip first. (Again) But you wouldn’t think he would need to.

I don’t think the problem is the leaves in the first two panels, I think it would have been a big job to colorize ALL the leaves in the piles.

The little Aspen on one side of my back yard had already made a little mess, but it won’t be too much work to clean up

The big Maple that dominates the other side of the yard hasn’t hardly even started, that tree has a sense of humor and likes to drop all of its’ leaves a few days before the first big winter storm

I just get my mower out with the bag on and mow all them up and use them a mulch.

Green is a color. My mulberry trees don’t turn color. After the first good frost, they seem to drop all their still green leaves at once.

That’s the Cyclone Rake, similar units also made by DR, It shreds the leaves so you can pile them up and have good mulch in the spring. The commercial also hints that you can blow the leaves over a fence, maybe into your neighbor’s yard.

For a different take on clearing the leaves from your yard, see

yes, but you have to have a lawn big enough and open enough to use a riding lawn mower. Plus you have to have a riding mower
