Indeed, much of life seems to wor backwards. As we get older with fixed or declining income and our minds get feeble, our health care and prescriptions get more complicated and expensive. We need the help of others more as we age.

On the other hand, we can retain usefulness later in life, and giving and receiving are wonderful ways to prepare for our “graduation” into the next life.

Life is sure a crazy, exciting mess sometimes.

Thinking of Bill Cosby, on his mother becoming a grandmother:
“That is not the woman I grew up with! That is an old person who’s trying to get into Heaven now!”

In the last frame it looks like Mike’s got a little spinning reel on that pole.

With respect to life working backwards…Mork from Ork had that worked out. Ah, that brings back happy memories of Jonathan Winters.

It’s always too late when we learn of things that should have been done 50 years earlier.

If it isn’t one thing, it’s another. That’s not going to scar anyone, the way, say, an inadequate education would.

Spoken like a true member of the “Gimmee” generation. It probably could be arranged that no resources need be wasted on you.
