Typical child, they are doing most whatever they want then when one order comes in they act as if they have no freedom.
Daniel you should know by now that Sunday comics almost never are connected to a weekly story. Almost never.

I, for one, would not allow my kids and their friends to do most of the things depicted here. If they did, they’d be grounded or sent home.

As to “spoilers”. This strip is like a romance novel—you know the principals are going to end up getting married and living happily ever after. Besides, I am re-reading strips from 2008 when LJ finished the story and started re-running the strip from the beginning, which I had never seen. (I started reading it in the paper about the time April was born), so Michael’s happy ending was fresh in my mind.

I own about 5-6 books LJ wrote and have read them many many times. Hmmm may have to start all over again….it’s been much more fun watching her raise her kids than worrying about my own….as they were going through all their teen angst etc.

What a drama king! ;-) You look like you’re having plenty of fun, Michael. Mom certainly isn’t stifling you…

winter tires. A concept lost on Americans in the lower 48.

I just bought a beefy set of old-fashioned winter tires. I want tread, I want to feel the tires gripping the road as I spin around town.

While this one may not be in the continuity of the plane crash storyline, at least we can see that there are few restraints on Michael’s activities at home. Whether the plane crash was caused by Michael’s attempts to play with the tires on the plane is yet to be seen.

Unlike the dailies, Sunday strips need to be submitted at least two months ahead of the publishing date. As a result, Sunday strips almost never correspond with the story shown in the weekday strips. Bill Watterson learned that lesson when he tried to coordinate some Calvin & Hobbes with dailies and Sundays; he said it was a pain in the butt!

I sure hope John & Elly have good homeowners’ insurance – not so much for the stuff those boys might break, but for the boys who might get broken!
