We should have a National Togetherness Day, when people just celebrate being together. I’m not sure it would catch on though.

For those who read Lynn’s note — At her latitude, the horns of an evening crescent moon always point left, and of a morning crescent point right. It has nothing to do with date or time zone.

this is sweet, young families today have so much going on that mom and dad often get lost in the shuffle. I think this is sweet but considering their age I would not have left the kids alone to go around the block, maybe to the end of the street and back or just sit in the yard and enjoy the quiet.

National Togetherness Day? Valentine’s Day? What – one, maybe two days to celebrate being together, to celebrate love? I don’t THINK so! My beloved and I celebrate every single day – almost every single moment – that we’re together. It’s still a rush and the magic is still there…

Don’t mean to nit-pick, but in the interest of scientific literacy, need to point out that the earlier post about which way the evening crescent Moon points is not quite right!

Even from the same location in the Northern hemisphere,
(i.e., same latitude), the evening crescent Moon can point mostly left, at an angle left upwards to the sky, or even straight up! And that does depend upon the time of year!

In the Southern Hemisphere, the pointing is indeed reversed, to the right.

When we’re talking about the morning crescent Moon, however, the directions are reversed. So, where the crescent points also depends upon the time of day!
