    Everybody is seeming to forget the arc a few months ago when Phil gave Mike his old trumpet.

    @Macushlalondra

    and @howtheduck: have some patience.

    But, if you insist on reading ahead, this has today’s original, and you can see the next strip by increasing the q value in the URL (or the number, currently 645, in the Search by ID Number box) by one, at least through the point where Michael boards the plane.

    Lynn’s Notes:
    My friends who were lucky enough to own a piano and get lessons often complained about the torture they suffered having to practice for recitals and such. Years later, with the stress of learning far behind them, they thanked their parents at long last for giving them the gift of music.

    I bet that Chris Botti didn’t have to complain when it came time for trumpet lessons, neither did Miles Davis.

    Somehow Micheal, I think you’ll be able to forgive them for that. Being able to play a musical instrument is a worthwhile skill, even just from the standpoint of having to be diligent to practice, and the brain development involved in playing one. Keep at ’im Elly!
