Even if I didn’t know this joke was coming, this was the obvious ending to this sequence.

Oh, anything from Mom is sacred…..or Dad…..or Sis……or Aunt Maude……. or the Townsends down the street; and it would be rude to discard any old Christmas or birthday or anniversary gifts. They mean so much.

    Lynn’s Notes:
It took days to sort through everything. Behind every stack of familiar flotsam was stuff we never knew she had. Parting with some of it was going to be hard. We had several family meetings to determine the fate of Ruth and Tom’s collection.

When I lived with my mom the other half of the garage was filled with all kinds of stuff from furniture to nick-nacks. She never did get it emptied out before she died.

Oh the mess that was left in my dad’s house after his second wife (my step mom) passed away. She was such a pack rat! And my husband’s uncle was even worse. You couldn’t even walk in that place. My poor sister in law had to clean it all up by herself and it was disgusting!

Come to my house. I’ll leave for a week and get rid of ALL the “treasures.” I won’t know it’s missing until I need it!

My grandma had a clock like that with what presumably were rays emanating from the center.

I saw an episode of “American Pickers” with that clock. Very valuable 1950’s antique.
