    He apparently got his message across.

    If what you really want is to be permanently alone, rudeness works.

    @bluskies

    You must be a very lonely man.

    Some people don’t like to be told it is time for them to leave.

    I would be appalled if my husband was this rude to my friends. Well, I wouldn’t be with anyone like Ted anyway and Connie doesn’t really have much self respect.

    Connie, Connie, Connie…your spineless character is starting to piss me off. Better to be alone than to be with someone like Ted.

    I did something similar to my wife to one of her friends who has become a good friend of mine. I felt horrible, I was boorish to do it. My wife’s friends can have a hen session as long as they want now. That is why I have a man-cave.

    Connie, don’t be so desperate for a man. This one is a bum…throw him out and so should every one else.

    You need to re-read yesterday’s strip.

    Elly should have just stared at him for a few moments and then gone back to talking.

    Lynn’s Notes:
    My affinity for the art of George Booth comes out in the way I draw interaction between people and pets; George was able to make the funniest of statements with body language and a simple, knowing glance. Although I only met him once, he has been one of my best teachers!

    Ted is a first class jerk and Elly was an idiot to give in to him. I’d have given him a scowl and asked Connie if she wanted me to leave. Not Ted. He doesn’t count.
