Since its debut in 1979, For Better or For Worse has touched comic strip readers as few cartoons ever do. Cartoonist Lynn Johnston’s eye for detail and her uncanny sense of what real parents and children struggle with daily are a big part of her success. The world has watched the Patterson family grow up in real time, and to many readers, the Pattersons feel like family!
Parents and children alike will relate to the obstacles that the Patterson family faces. Curfews, parent date nights, babysitting, pets and distractions are all hurdles that the Pattersons must overcome in order to enjoy each other as a family. They face the same obstacles that real life families do, which is what makes them so loveable.

when your young it seems like Christmas will never come and when you are grown it comes like a speeding train and you are just not ready.

Lynn’s Notes:
My bed had a white headboard and, for as long as I can remember, a violet, flowered bedspread. I would turn it into a vehicle, a flying carpet, or a tent in the wilderness — and with each incarnation came a different position for sleeping. I used the pillow for everything from a headrest and chest protector to a dashboard and helmet. The blankets could be a cloak, a tent, or a capsule in outer space. In my bed, my imagination went wild, which was good thing … because I was sent to my room a lot!

This is why some families open the gifts on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas morning.

@Thirdguy
Does cocktail hour come before or after assembly hour?
Michyle Glen said, 5 months ago
The Cocktail Hour is preperatin for the Assembly Hour.
You need something to relax you before you start reading the instructions.

Forget the December Solstice — the REAL longest night of the year for a small child is the night before Christmas! :)
