    My ex-husband had that technique down to a fine art! He could turn the water on and off with his toes.

    Not very useful to those of us to prefer showers to baths. There’s something about rinsing with dirty, soapy water that just doesn’t feel right.

    you shower to get clean
    you take a bath to relax, then rinse with the shower

    @afficionado: In Japan, it’s the other way around. When they go to hot springs or take a bath, they rinse with a shower first before getting in. It only makes sense though to get clean before going into a public hot spring.

    Hardware stores are fascinating.
    You never know what you “need” until you’re inside one.
    Same with drug stores.
