That’s how kids learn. It’s a kid thing and they just have to experiment to see what happens if I do this.

When we get older, I hesitate to say mature, we do the same thing. Only now the things we experiment with can often cause real hurt and pain and even death.

It’s just a matter of bigger experiments. Bigger, more expensive toys.

The trouble with mothers? The trouble with kids is they don’t clean up after themselves.

Oh, let the kid have some fun. Give him water – and – make him clean it up after.

Notice that if Elly hadn’t startled him with her “you’re performing an unauthorized experiment!” he wouldn’t have PFLOOPed the liquid over the counter and she wouldn’t have had anything to clean up.

I did that once as a kid – made a very bad circular rash that lasted for hours.

We used to make “hickies” on our arms with the vacuum cleaner.

Her yelling is what caused him to drop it. If she’s going to yell like that, she should be prepared to catch the glass first or the mess is her own fault.

The problem with THIS particular mother is that she doesn’t remember when she was a kid herself.

I broke the capillaries around my mouth, and was sent to the principal’s office the next day for suspected child abuse.

This banter reminds me of the Non Sequitur strip of the grave yard of last words. …
    Hey guys, watch this! :-)
