Sounds like Christopher is a quite the handful. I’m sorry what was the conversation about?

I’d feel worse about this if I thought she and Elly had something more substantial to talk about than gossip but they don’t.

I can relate. My friends and I try to get together with the kids and catch up, but the only way we get some conversation in is when the kids are not there. Who cares if it’s substantial conversation or not, as long as it’s with an adult!

My toddler adores my best friend so she climbs all over both of us when he comes to visit (yes, he’s male) but he’s so good with kids that we can talk over the top of her exuberance.

Huh - maybe Christopher needs to pick up a few manners from Elizabeth (who wasn’t bothering them!) ;)

If I had the chance to talk to adults, it would be literature, ethics, educational philosophy, and religion. But I have 3 small children so that situation is eerily familiar (and I have been told that my children are quite independent- but there are 3 of them, and children are expected to be a LOT less independent these days, so even if mine are playing by themselves, my friends’ kids wouldn’t be!)

Talk, interrupt, yak, interrupt, blah, interrupt and keep going on and on like forever.

Though as I suspect it’s probably from 1980, the best year of my life

I don’t get it … did this strip reverse in time??? I thought the Patterson kids were all grown up with kids of their own.

JosePeterson I think you want to be asked, so I’ll ask: Why is 1980 the best year of your life?

As a matter of fact, it was a pretty darned good year for me. It’s when I first dated my hubby. We’re approaching our 23rd anniversary.

SageFireGazer (is that first Nations inspired moniker?)

Lynn Johnson is currently in semi-retirement. So she is no longer making new strips, but she is redoing the art on the old ones and that is what we see here.

Geez… if you are going to have kids then you need to always remember that they don’t know they are being rude or interrupting anything…. ESPECIALLY at that age… he’s JUST a baby for crying out loud….

Christopher needs to be put in a playpen in another room.
Some kids … and some parents …
Really! C’mon now. Get a backbone and raise your kids right.
