Since its debut in 1979, For Better or For Worse has touched comic strip readers as few cartoons ever do. Cartoonist Lynn Johnston’s eye for detail and her uncanny sense of what real parents and children struggle with daily are a big part of her success. The world has watched the Patterson family grow up in real time, and to many readers, the Pattersons feel like family!
Parents and children alike will relate to the obstacles that the Patterson family faces. Curfews, parent date nights, babysitting, pets and distractions are all hurdles that the Pattersons must overcome in order to enjoy each other as a family. They face the same obstacles that real life families do, which is what makes them so loveable.

Of course, it is not fair. But, it is funny. Men love all kind of toys and cars out there on our streets are toys to men.

Better to give him his own rather than him hog the kids toys ;)

every one knows that the toys have to be tested before the kids get to play with them – for safety purposes

This reminds me that in the last year or so of new comics John and Elly bought the little house with big yard for John’s trains.

This is what starts John on his quest for the Large trains.

My step-nephew got the toy trains with everything to assemble and test to see the train movable or not, etc.. But he did not want it. He felt like a bum humbug!
Well, sometimes we all love to have or not after we opened the gifts. Wish all of us and you a Merry Christmas! :-)

I work part time in retail and many fathers come in to get gifts for one of the kids that the dad can also use….just in case :)
