    The plastic champagne flutes sold from the bar at the top of the Eiffel Tower are cone-shaped to discourage drinkers from putting them down carelessly where they might possibly fall over the edge …


    I don’t know whether this idea actually works and I’m also unsure of the terminal velocity of a plastic champagne flute and whether the pointy edge could do actual damage at ground level if one somehow fell off the top.


    I wonder if this is a subject for Mythbusters.
