You think you’re alone on the road. You stop to take a pee.
    .
Halfway through the entire nation’s population is driving from somewhere to somewhere on that road.

Living in a western state this is true and somewhat disgusting, many states have freeway rest stops without restrooms for drivers to sleep if drousy, if you ever go to one of them they reek of urine and other smells.

I love the little grass clumps that exist only by the sign. Could it be some kind of spot watering, perhaps?

Many people don’t even stop for a No. 1, they just fill an empty soda bottle and toss it out the window without even slowing down. Be careful if you see an apparently full bottle of Mountain Dew on the side of the road. “Crews in southeastern Washington state reported over 1,000 bottles in a one month period for a 100 mile section of highway.”
