F Minus is a profoundly funny comic strip that was chosen by more than 200,000 college students as the winner of the "mtvU Strips" contest. Providing daily hilarity since May 2005, F Minus is a strip short on life lessons, precious moments, and pearls of wisdom. Instead, it tackles life's serious issues, pins them to the ground and steals their lunch money. Then it feels a little bit guilty and gives some of it back.

Getting a little ahead of himself, isn’t he?
But still, that’s a valid point he’s raising. To quote director George Miller of the Mad Max franchise…
“It’s four-dimensional storytelling. A game can literally become the equivalent of a novel. That is the thing that people like me who write screenplays envy about novelists: that you can actually stop time and explore little cul-de-sacs. Whereas in a movie, you’d love to stop and examine that character, but you can’t.”
Video games have moved up in the world to something bigger than just games. They can even be considered an academic discipline. In fact, Oxford invited me to speak on this point.

Not really, he doesn’t seem to worried about the video game of the sequel to movie they are filming.

Very few games come anywhere close to having as good a story as the movie — let alone the book. Games may have more time to develop characterizations than a movie, but few make good use of that. And part of the reason for that is that people play games for different reasons than that they watch movies and read books. Why spend extra time and developmental resources on something they think most of the players won’t notice or appreciate?

Perfect. Just watched “The Hobbit” and while an enjoyable romp on the whole, there were indeed segments that looked like they were “pivotal moments in the video game based on” the movie.
SPOILER ALERT
Like the rabit sled chase and the swinging bridge/tunnel escape, and the “stealth” escape from Gollum.
END SPOILERS
Pure vid-game action … I kept twitching my fingers for the correct sequence.
I do wish the movie makers would be less obvious about it.

This one was a little too close to reality…

Hey, at least it’s not the movie based upon the video game.
