    Size B were the 45 to 300 volt batteries used to drive portable electronics with tubes in them. I don’t think anyone has made a new one in 20 years.

    If you want to keep a can of beer cold, yes.

    It is one of those foam or wrap-around containers that you put a beer can into to keep it cold while you drink it. Never much understood the need for them as once you open a beer, it typically doesn’t sit around in the can long enough to get warm.

    I never even knew they made a B size battery. Growing up, I just thought they skipped that size for some reason.

    Koozies also keep your hand from getting wet when the can sweats. I hate koozies myself—just saying.

    This is why it’s my theory that these things weren’t invented to keep beer cold. They must have been invented by someone with Raynaud’s so they could drink their beer without their fingers hurting.
    I’ve had idiopathic Raynaud’s all my life.

    McGyver would build a helicopter and flay them all home.

    Dad will do something kind of like that. He’ll try to connect the batteries to the phone clip, which will eventually set the backpack on fire, setting the underbrush on fire, and the firefighters will find them.

    @PoodleGroomer

    PoodleGroomer… you are right about the type for tube systems…. but there was also a more typical cylindrical “B” battery that was used mostly in Europe (I got an imported toy with one back when I was a kid a long time ago) It was a bit bigger than an “AA” battery in length and a bit more narrow than a “C” battery in width.
