It wasn’t until we were graduated that I and most of my college friends finally became concerned with actually making a living. The condition was so prevalent that I invented a name for it: Liberal-Arts-itis.

I am all in favor of a well-rounded education, but I now believe that it is something one should get AFTER learning how to support oneself.

As for the parents, he’s over 18 now so you can kick him out of the house at any time. Tough love.

You’re supposed to spend the first 18 years getting them ready for the world and the next 18 worrying about them making it. The better you do in the first 18 the less you’ll worry in the last.
