Peter Walder’s Flight Deck focuses primarily on the unintentional comedy of belonging to a family. Warning: the ideas contained in this strip will be dangerously appealing to your inner five-year-old.

Absolutely beautiful, thank you for making me take a moment of silence to remember that we have the freedom we have because of those who have fallen.

Don’t forget all the K9’s that have given their lives as well. They deserve to be remembered as well.

I appreciate the sentiment but that cartoon is missing important elements. And not just K=9 units. Where’s the woman, black or latino and aisian americans in that picture?
And no, I’m none of those things. I just appreciate the sacrifice Americans of all types have made to preserve our freedoms.
We tend to focus on the dead on Memorial and Veterans day but we also need to remember those who served and came back missing parts of themselves. And don’t forget those who just came back and went on with their lives, pot bellies, thinning hair and all.

To continue with Daniel’s thought - I also tip my hat to their friends, families and the rest of their support groups who waited for them and continue to help those who have been able to return.
THANK YOU, ALL!!!
