You’ll have to walk further than you thought, boys.

I don’t trust the instructions: Doonesbury, I’m pretty sure, is a left turn!

Maybe he and Ishmael should just take the rest of the day off and go hang out with Danae at Non Sequitur.

Poor Ishmael, I don’t think he can “hold” it much longer.

so, ishmael is the name of the octopus? The octopus is an imaginary friend, right?

  7. farren

    farrenGenius_badge said, 4 months ago

Must be imaginary - the critter in the cartoon is a squid.

Right at Doonesbury is The Doozies – a nice place to hang out.

Man the Lio must take place in Michigan with that level of (road) construction going on.

Wait for Billy from Family Circus to come through and you can follow his little trail.

    Good idea, doctortoon!

Sisyphos, back in the day you’d have been correct, but these days I think the road has been re-graded a little , so to speak. ;) (That was my obscure thought for the day.)

Good point… However, if you arrived at Doonesbury and made a right turn, wouldn’t it take you directly AWAY from Doonesbury? That sounds like the best route to me… :)

Just don’t go near “Prickly City”; it always goes to the right, so you’ll be trapped in a loop and you won’t get anywhere. (That’s as political as I intend to get.)

Your best bet is to head for “Pearls Before Swine”; from there you can go anywhere you want.

Ishmael is a squid, not an octopus

I’m glad to see Lio is so responsible as to keep Ishmael the Squid on a leash.

In my local area, a pump failed during a thunderstorm last night and one of the main tunnels flooded. Back up was 14 miles as they turned traffic around to drain the tunnel. You can’t get anywhere in this area without going across a bridge or through a tunnel.
So, today’s Lio is quite apt.

Steer Clear of Heart In the City, Spock is a little jumpy, Poor Dean would be shredded if Spock saw this couple coming at him.

Once you get to Doonesbury there’s nowhere else to go, except to the Right, or maybe Up. Kiss Kiss Gerry.
