And Walt’s gotta be the oldest character still standing(when he can). Amazing! Then again, I’ve only been following for 35 years.

Jim is a worthy successor in the GA line. Perhaps the most well-crafted strip around today. Today’s is amazing! By the way, they are reprinting the strips in hard-cover, starting with the finding of Skeezix. I’ve seen a few strips through the years, in originals and reprinted in old comics, etc. I like the era when Skeezix meets and courts Nina best, c. 1935-44.

God Bless Gasoline Alley and it’s artists. We need strong American traditions and values. With all the madness and chaos in the world today ties to the past, like Gasoline Alley, help keep us grounded. Thanks Jim, Dick, Bill and Frank!

After some of the funny jokes and zaniness of the other comic strips, reading Gasoline Alley is like coming home from a long journey. You’re suddenly surrounded with familiar faces and places. 90 years….what’s going to happen in the NEXT 90?? Is Joel OLDER than Walt, or younger?? The only reason that Walt is hanging around is because HE was the star of it way back when it began and it would not seem like Gasoline Alley without him. All the other “major” characters from that time have died off. If the strip is 90 and Walt is about 109….that means he was only about 20 when it began!! Wow!! Thanks to all the creative forces that have worked on Gasoline Alley throughout the years, and especially to Frank King for having the vision to begin it. Happy 90th!!
