    Looking at the fourth panel, I can see how Calvin’s hands could, in anybody else’s eyes, be seen as holding Hobbes as he runs. Bill Watterson strikes again with the ambiguity whether Hobbes is alive or stuffed… or just stuffed with tuna fish sandwiches!

    They won’t get far. Ros should make popcorn and wander out in the yard with the fragrant and enticing bowl. Calvin is undoubtedly cowering behind a tree wondering what she’s been doing. She should ignore him and return to house, “accidentally” dropping pieces of popcorn behind her. Will Calvin figure out the ruse?
