Classic Cutter John-as-Captain Kirk! Poor Opus.

Cutter John reminds me of a guy in my high school. He was in a wheel chair but he was the most popular guy in school. He was a huge hit at dances; four girls could dance with him at once, one girl sat on his lap, a girl on each arm, then one took the wheelchair handles! He never sat out a single dance and all the cheerleaders fought over who got to sit in his lap.

Spock (Opus) knew it was dangerous on the enterprise and chose to follow in the event a rescue mission was necessary.

We had a regular rider on our bus who was confined to a wheel chair. He’d get of at the top of one of Tacoma’s steeper hills and race the bus to the bottom. He and Cutter John would have been BFFs or the strongest competitors on the face of the earth one or the other.
