Don’t they realize just how BORING it is to listen in on most phone calls?

Cheney is not amused….

I see that Virginia has reabsorbed West Virginia, and New York is once again claiming Vermont. However, Massachusetts has apparently decided to let Maine remain independent. Interesting!

Now we can at last achieve the dream of an independent nation stretching from San Francisco north to the Canadian border, with maybe parts of Nevanda thrown in, the parts that aren’t radioactive.

Maybe someone can tell me where Nevanda is?? Never heard of it before.:)

to compare the u.s.s.r. to the united states is without a doubt the dumbest, innacurate, and most desperate comparason I,v ever seen in my life
Grokenstein said, 9 months ago
Right on, Dukster45! After all, we’re still here, and the USSR isn’t! They thought they were indestructible, but they spent themselves into oblivion fighting a phony “war on terror” and disintegrated!
But they didn’t have GOD on their side! And we totally do! And we can just keep cutting education to fund our military; our kids will be too stupid and emotionally stunted to do anything but commit war atrocities, so it’ll work out fine!
Rich men’s kids will still be educated, of course, so we can maintain the standard of brilliance we’ve come to expect from the Presidents and CEOs who will guide us through the minor financial difficulties we’re experiencing right now.
WIN! WIN! WIN! WIN! The future’s so bright, global warming HAS to be a liberal fantasy!!

Anyone who reads this as a literal assignation of the USA as the USSR is not very bright.
It’s satire. If you can’t grasp the hyperbole … go back to Ziggy.

That first panel is all wrong. In the US, industry owns the state. Either way, the people get screwed.
