Weren’t they in financial straits? Ah, the american way; buy your way into happiness, even when you can’t afford it.

Oh glory I get to miss all that noise this year now I’m in Canada. It wasn’t nearly as loud here as in the states with those loud things going off til after midnight!

Mickjam: Theoretically, in the long run buying stuff should help them. The reason they’re in financial straits is that they’re customers are in financial straits and scared of spending money (as shown in previous customers). If they don’t buy anything, then they’re causing the stores the same financial straits. Hopefully, them buying things encourages others to buy things and this eventually circles back to them.

yes , sparklers are perfectly safe for children.
Nothing like a thousand degrees of searing heat to twirl around , poke at each other and throw up in the air . that just spell safety!

I’m glad that stuff isn’t legal here. My grandfather lost an arm when he was in his 20’s due to a Catherine wheel.

My kind of family! Sigh…….I wish the city where I live would get rid of that (BLEEP) “NO FIREWORK LAW” & LET ME CELEBRATE!!!!!! It’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UNFAIR LIVING ACROSS THE STREET WHERE THE CITY ACROSS THE WAY ALLOWS & THE TOWN I LIVE IN BANS THEM!!! Life can be so unfair sometimes!!!!
