   Considering the cobwebs on the place, the rest stop facilities haven’t been used in a very long time.

    My guess would be; all that carnage and decay took place between the time they passed the sign and finally arrived at the rest stop. And because of how slow they’re moving it could lead one to wonder the vultures are thinking…

    I’m a big fan of solitary road trips, and everytime I leave my parents and boyfriend make me promise not to stop at those “rest stops” but to find a nice big gas station instead. A couple of years ago, there was something on the news about a serial killer picking up victims at rest stops. Now I take my mom’s advice very seriously!

    The remarks below the cartoon take away from how funny the cartoon is. I was an overtheroad trucker in the 80’s I sure can relate to the vultures waiting. I just leaned against one of the big tires in between gas stations and truck stops, had to, I wanted my kidneys to last me.lol 64 now all is well.

    I too was an OTR driver in the 70’s and 80’s and you give me pause for thought… That rest area looks very much what the Cigar City Truck Stop in Tampa, FL. looked like which is why I think it was torn down!
