And eggs are not cheap anymore no matter which variety.
And the prices will never, ever come down.

We were poor when I was a kid and my mom always bought the cheapest of whatever she needed. Now that I can afford to spend more I sometimes feel a pang of guilt when I splurge a bit.

I definitely splurge on my eggs…I don’t really care if they are brown or white, but I want the free-range eggs because the yolks are usually a richer golden color, with more flavor as a result.

I grew up eating eggs from the chicken house, fresh food from the garden, raw milk from the cow
didn’t know at the time how lucky I was
and none of us 8 people got sick from the raw milk

Where I live here in Mexico, eggs are sold by weight, based upon the kilogram, so size doesn’t matter. The number of eggs in a baggie varies accordingly. Additionally, they are always from free-range chickens. It doesn’t get any better than that.
