The motto I had learned from the slackers I had to work around was; it is not the work that is important, it is just showing up at work.

Woody Allen said 80% of life is just showing up. So the kids don’t rank teachers well, the administration isn’t trusted by the teachers (I say “so what”) and parents demand answers. What’s left? Just like grades are not the best evaluative tool, they are “what’s left,” so standardized tests are “what’s left.”

Kids today have it rough at least so they believe .
Do a search for 1900 8th grade finals exam and see just how dumbed down schools are today . And as far as money spent per child per cap .
Throwing more money at the administration of schools id never going to work . Search for highest paid public employees you will find that the football coach in all but I believe 3 states tops the heap . I lkike sports as much as anybody but winning no matter the cost hurts the other 95 % of students .
