    A while ago, a friend of mine was in a coma. She had been in this coma for over ten weeks following surgery for stomach cancer. Her grandchildren and I took shifts by her bedside. I always had midnight to 8 am, since I worked the night shift at the airport.
    One night I was watching TV. Her private room had cable and I watched Chris Rock do one of his one man shows. During the program I heard a little giggle, my friend was conscience.
    I don’t know what caused her to awake when she did. I like to think Chris is that freakin’ funny.

    Chris is a pretty decent comedian, especially when he cleans up the language.
