I haven’t left my apartment since Thursday, but I don’t have cabin fever because I’ve been busy reading a lot of my books.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Re the above comic. I didn’t know you could buy already-producing tomato plants. Seedlings, yes but not mature plants with ripe fruit on them.

We had an awesome thunderstorm last night. It hovered right over Henderson for about an hour. The huge lightening bolts were flashing back and forth in the clouds (very little touched ground that we could see) and the thunder was almost continuous. It was great! One of my cats was under the bed and the other one came outside with us to watch.

David, neither of my brothers nor I ever got involved with Masonry. Dad told us very late in his life that all we needed to do was ask and he would have helped us join. But we didn’t know that and went blithely on with our lives, sometimes wondering why he didn’t seem to want to share a very important part of his and mom’s lives. Some of my younger brother’s kids did join and enjoyed it but gave it up when they moved from CA to ME.

    Good Morning, Everyone,

Lazy days of Summer? Probably ALL Summer!
Just got in from the garden. Everything is doing great. I can see where one of the deer chomped on one of our sunflowers in the outside garden. (these were wild from two years ago) We have deer fencing around all our gardens……….those pesky guys trim everything they can reach. Kind of like a topiary.

Jan……..there are several vendors at the Farmer’s Market that sell both seedlings and 5 gallon tomatoes with fruit set on them. (not red fruit yet) We have lots of green tomatoes, but we’re looking at another month before harvesting. :((

    Good morning to all.
And the heat goes on. Set a new record in Boston yesterday, 99. Today is the last day of this spell with temps in mid 80s for the next week and 60s at night. Rain and T storms tonight. You should be getting some also dkram as it is coming down from Canada.
