    Good evening or good morning Vagabonds. (depending where you are in the country)
    Nothing going on right now, very quiet. Discovered we had had a shower sometime before we came home from the prayer meeting at 10. Didn’t have any rain where we were.
    Going to be in the 90s again today and very humid.

    Good morning, Vagabonds. Yesterday my Azeri friend and me went by subway to the Gorsky (Mountain Jewish or Kavkas) synagogue. It was an 1 1/2 trip and when we exited the subway we still had a busride and a very long walk. I didn’t know it was 100 degree weather. When we got there morning services were over and it was too early for evening services. It was a beautiful synagogue. When we got home I poured myself several glasses of lemonade.

    @Alexikakos

    Don’t even need pets. It would work with anyone who forgets to close the slider or neglects to close it all the way.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

    What a neat idea, Alexikakos!

    Hope everyone is doing great. We had a nice rain shower during the night……….almost a quarter inch. We’re back to the higher temps again for the next week. :((

    Hows that wild fire, Jan? You said it was on it’s way to being contained. God bless those wonderful fire fighters!

    Our cancer group is having a picnic in a park today. Love those potlucks!

    @Montana Lady

    As of yesterday, it is 80% contained and has burned approximately 30,000 acres. They are allowing residents back on the mountain in areas that are no longer threatened. Some got lucky that their particular canyon was missed, others did not. I don’t know a count of residences burned, but it wasn’t very many. It’s so well under control that even though it is still burning on the backside of the mountain, the news stopped reporting much because no more residences are threatened and the locals are going home.
    Just a funny aside, on Monday when residents of Kyle canyon were allowed to return home, there was one of those programmable information signs up to allow only residents. However, the sign said “residence only”. I laughed.
