Good morning, Vagabonds. It’s 8:15 AM in Israel. Tonight I begin my flight back to Ft Lauderdale via JFK. I had a wonderful time in Israel as well as a wonderful Passover.

The poem, :“JUST ONCE MORE” was writen in 2006 for my CD. I could call it a “Nomad’s Dream” or “A Nomad’s Heaven”.
Just once more, I’d like to go
Where the water flows cold from last winter’s snow
where the trout swims, firm and sleek,
And deer come down to drink from the creek.
Where black bears roam the forest floor,
And high overhead the eagles soar.
To spread my blankets in the canyon deep
And let the murmuring creek lull me to sleep
Then to rise to the first light of day,
All eager and ready to continue on my way
.Just once more, I’d like to be
Some place by the edge of the sea.,
Or down a new road, around a bend,
Never knowing just where the trip might end.
I loved to go a’yondering, looking here and there,
With the sun on my back and the wind in my hair.
From mountains to prairie to desert glare,
One time or another, I’ve likly been there.
Some like to tell me what I missed along the way.
“Well, I can’t see it all, is what I’d say.
Just once more, I’d like to hear
A loons call loud and clear
A steam engine’s whistle on a cold still night,
A coyotie’s yelping in the deepening twilight.
But time goes on at it’s steady pace,
And no one knowshow long the chase.
What once became grey, now grows white.
Like has brought both sorrow and delight.
But before I leave for that unknown shore,
    I’d like to go a-yondering…..Just Once…..More.

    Morning, Village.
Slim – You are very talented, friend. I really believe your works should be published. Have you thought about finding a publisher?

Arye – Have a safe trip home.

    Twelve more weeks.

    Hi boys and girls.
Had a good sunrise yesterday, the kind that make you squint at the pastor who’s back is to the sun.
Followed by a mighty good breakfast back at the church.
Have an uplifting flight back home Arye. ;-)
Very good poem Slim. I’m with David, you need a publisher.
I’m watching “The Crocodile Hunter”, who da thunk that it wouldn’t be a croc. that got him.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,
I am back! My surgery went VERY well, and my hand and thumb are VERY stiff! The numbness is almost worn off, but the two incisions hurt like all get out. I’ve been doing the finger exercises……don’t want to loose the use of my hand.

Slim, I also like to go a-yonderin’! Thank you for printing that again! I wouldn’t know where to go to get published, but maybe someone else does. Your talent needs to be preserved!

Arye, what a wonderful trip. safe travels.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Arye, have a safe trip home.

Rita, I’m so glad that your surgery went well. I offer my prayers for a speedy and complete recovery.

Slim, I will add my two cents to the others. You have a remarkable talent, and should take the time to either find a publisher or start your own blog. We (the Vagabonds) will spread the word!

David, I really have a small amount of writing done. I have had many people ask me the same thing you have. I have never considered havin anything printed. I am really not very interested in doing so. I( wrote for my own entertainment, and that of my friends.. the only poem I ever had in print was one I wrote, as a cautionary tale, in a small weekly newspaper
column. the coloumn was about the outdoors and always had something in it about fishing in Folsom Lake. I managed a little bait and tackle
shop on the south side of the lake.
I’m just not interested in publishing, Never was.

In addition: I don’t really know what a blog is, much less how to start one. And it would be intermittent at best.
Under those condi, it might be fun. I do like fun
