   Good morning, Vagabonds. I just sent photos to those whose email addresses I have that I took of the gardens around Vizcaya as well as photos I made of 2 historical maps of Europe I took at the last meeting I attended of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Miami.

   Good Morning…
   MOVIE! Yesterday I watched Beasts of the Southern Wild, a story set in the bayous of Louisiana. Film Critic Roger Ebert wrote at the end of his review, “Sometimes miraculous films come into being, made by people you’ve never heard of, starring unknown faces, blindsiding you with creative genius. ‘Beasts of the Southern Wild’ is one of the year’s best films.” Beasts has been nominated for the Best Picture Oscar and its child star is nominated for Best Actress(she was only 5 when the movie was cast and 7 when it finished filming). If you enjoy Indie films, I recommend Beasts (but turn on the Setup for English subtitles if you watch the DVD). All of Roger Ebert’s reviews can be found at suntimes.com/ebert. :-)

   Thanks for report re Sugar Man…I have the sound track CD and the movie DVD on hold at the library & it’s in transit (on its way to my branch for me – yea!). I also have Argo and Skyfall on hold. If anyone reading this has seen any of the other nominated films (other than Beasts), I’d like to “hear” (read) reactions. :-)

   Had my 3 month cancer check up yesterday…..EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!!! All the blood work numbers were in the normal range! Hooray!!!
