Good morning, Vagabonds

Good Morning, Vagabonds. The Chanukah party at my temple was really great. I love lotkas with apple sauce or sour cream; I don’t like jelly donuts so much. It was good to see everyone after 8 months. My rabbi was shocked at my weight gain, though.

Morning, Village.
We had our community choir cantata last night. There are only two churches in town, us and the Baptists. We alternate every year on where the cantata is held and people from both churches fill the choir.

Happy Chanukah Vagabonds.
.
Not being atune to this festival, I was surprised how early it came.
.
Rainy, sleety day, I think I see ice on the tree branches outside the window. I’m staying inside.
Schools are delayed two hours.
.
It’s to early to think, may be I’ll watch TV with my eyes closed.
.
Have a nice day where ever you are.

Good morning Vagabonds.
Quiet day yesterday. Mostly stayed home and vegged out. Sometimes you just need a day to relax and get away from the holiday hoopla. We did manage to put up our three little lit Christmas trees in the front yard. The difficult part of that is burying the anchors well enough in the dirt UNDER the 4" of rock to survive the winds we get around here. I think we managed it, though. We live on a corner lot on the main street that goes into our neighborhood, so almost everyone sees our house first when they are going home. We aren’t physically capable of putting up too much decoration, but I like our little trees.

Good Morning, All,
Happy Chanukah to Arye*. Sounds like you have your “Family” back again! Can you tell me why there are two spellings of Chanukah…..with a C and a K?
We, too, had a quiet day yesterday. It seems my cold (or whatever it is) is still hanging on. I’ve been nursing it now for over 2 weeks! Ugh! I can tell it’s on it’s way out, but…….
We’ll start our Christmas decorating this week. It’s been too cold for MMM to do any of the outdoor lights. Too bad he was sick last week when it was so balmy.
