Just 10 full days left before I leave for Miami. I have errands to do and people I wanna see before IO leave NY. Perhaps I won’t be able to see them because everyone else is also on tight schedules.

Good morning, Vagabonds. Yestreday was nice and sunny, a little chilly, but tolerable.

    Morning, Village.
    No ByE this morning.

Hardly tolerable here. It was 41 this morning when I got up.

I’ll get to the church early this morning because I play in the handbell choir, which is performing in the worship service today. And I’ll be preaching the community Thanksgiving service this evening over at the other church. We alternate every other year, with one church hosting the event and the guest pastor doing the preaching.

    Good Morning, Troop……..

Well, we’re setting out the ole suitcases again………we leave for San Diego on Tuesday for 8 days with the California gang. This time our flight connects at Salt Lake City. We’ll see if we have better luck than when we fly to Raleigh and go through Minneapolis. MMM wanted to drive, but we had 2 free flights built up, so we decided to use them.

It’s 40 degrees right now…….probably won’t get too much warmer because there are big clouds comin’ in. Only a 20% chance of precip, though.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

Looks like ByE isn’t going to have Sunday strips anymore. Oh, well, we all know where to meet anyway.

David, I used to play in the handbell choir at my Mom’s church (also mine for many years). Coincidentally it was a Methodist church, too. I loved playing the handbells. It is so much fun and getting to know the other choir members is great, too. I met so many new people that way. We once played “Music Box Dancer” at a luncheon in the church lounge. We didn’t know it but the director had cooked up a surprise. She suddenly slowed down the tempo and stopped us in the middle of the song and one of the husbands ran out with a giant “key” and wound us up again. We then picked up where we had left off amid the laughter from the audience. Mostly I loved how beautiful many of the old hymns sound on the handbells.
