Good morning, Vagabonds

Good morning, Vagabonds. I took all my Nat’l Geos in a shopping cart to the recycling room. On the way down in the elevator I let people I met take any magazines they wanted. Then I offered a few to my neighbor who runs a Spanish-language barbershop attached to my building.
The rest of the Geos I began piling by the door of the recycling room. Someone else had piled a lot of broken furniture there and also 3 large stacks of newspapers. Once my cart was empty I began putting the newspapers in it; I seldom buy newspapers and I wanted to see if the letter to the editor I had written that was published (NY Daily News “Voice of the People”) was in the pile and if there were any comments to my letter in later issues.
I spent the rest of the day reading the papers and clipping out “Zits” (my roommate loves “Zits”) and also my favorite, “One Big Happy” (although I can read it in GoComics, I want to make a scrapbook out of paper copies of OBH). I put the “Voice of the People” and various editorial columns aside so I could read them at my leisure after disposing of the huge amount of stacks. My modus operendi when I receive a large amount of newspapers is to tear out what I want to read later because it will take too much time/concentration if I read it then, so I can get rid of the bulk of the papers as soon as I can. I also clip out colorful pictures (mostly on glossy pages) so I can make collages.

Morning, Vagabonds!
One Big Happy is one of my favorites. I read Zits, too, but I download OBH each morning. My other daily downloads are Annie, Alley Oop, Dilbert Classics, Endtown, Garfield, Gasoline Alley, Lost Side of Suburbia, Mallard Fillmore, Mutt and Jeff, and Peanuts. I also download Last Kiss in German on MWF.

Hi Vagabonds,
Just getting caught up. It’s been a hectic few days.
To answer *Florchi*’s question about Halloween decorations, every time we would drive through Utah and some of the small towns there, there would be tons of Halloween decorations just like y’all have mentioned. Up here, it’s hit or miss, with a few really creative spots. I put up some interior goodies, but we live so far out that no one else sees things.
Getting my book list up to speed today, Billings’ big library book sale starts Thursday night, so I want to fill in my collections, and have a bunch of new material to read this winter. :))
