Morning, Vagabonds!
Thank you to all of you for the birthday wishes. We had a pretty busy day. I intended to take the day off, but that didn’t happen. We started out by going into town for a doctor’s appointment which we had mistakenly scheduled on my birthday. Then we made a hospital visit. Then when we got back to the church, we had to deal with the air-conditioner people. Then someone came in who had to talk to the pastor. By then it was mid afternoon. Then some friends called and said they had a stack of tile that I could have to do our bathroom floor. After going to get the tile, we returned home and built a fire in the BBQ and threw some patties on the grill. Then we had our closest friends over for a get-together. They have a little girl who was in my Confirmation Class this year and her twelfth birthday is today, so we put candles on the cake for her, too.

Good morning, Vagabonds. Yesterday was a nasty, rainy day. I had errands to do, but it wasn’t just the weather that kept me home, but my very nice neighbor asked me to be available to accept a UPS package.Later, she called me to tell me that the package came and the rain had stopped, but I dreaded to go out to the supermarkets. Both markets involved a lot of walking, but I was low on eggs, potatoes and onions.
Finally, at 5 PM I got the nerve to go out. I can’t remember which Vagabond was surprised that I bought American cheese, but this time I decided to buy 2 lbs of mozzerella cheese instead of swiss cheese to try it out. What do you think of mozzerella cheese? I now think that swiss cheese is the best.

I know I rarely comment on things but just wanted to let everyone know that today my wife and I are celebrating our 59th wedding anniversary. It doesn’t seem possible. Boy, does time go fast.

Good Morning, Vagabonds,
What good cheer we have today!
David, your day sounded busy, but sure ended with all the best ingredients, friends & family for your B’day!
Arye, We laughingly ask people if they have their “Green Cards” ready when they cross the borders of Montana. We are sitting at a population of just 1 million people, and can’t let any more people into the state! So, maybe this year we’ll have to build a fence! :))
woodworker……..CONGRATULATIONS to you and your wife for 59 years! What a tremendous mile stone!
Today is my “ketch-up” day………gotta make bread, try out a recipe for our next neighborhood potluck, and clean off a stack of “stuff” sitting on my printer. These are recipes, things to put in the computer like my updated book list, and some photos to print. And, then I need to make a pot of beef vegetable soup, too. The weather is cold and cloudy with a trace of snow, so it is perfect soup weather.

Good morning, Vagabonds.
As Rita said, what a day of good cheer. It is so good to hear about the lives of my fellow vagabonds, good and bad.
Woodworker, happy anniversary and may you have many many more anniversaries together. My parents had 61 years together, my maternal grandparents 63 and my paternal grandparents made it to 68. Now that’s commitment!
