Good morning, Vagabonds: I’m reading a 600 page book about Gen. Stilwell in China during WWII by Barbara Tuchman. I’m only on page 300 – after reading 5 or 10 pages my eyes get tired and I must take a break.

After I finish that book I plan to read “The Crusades” by Harold Lamb.

    Morning, Vagabonds!
Arye, I love reading history. Have you read Winston Churchill’s History of the English Speaking People?

DAVID@ I read it when it first came out in serialized form in Life Magazine in the late 50s.

I decided that reading about Stilwell in China during WWII was too tedious and after page 315, I skimmed the entire book but got enough information from the remaining pages. The book was TOO detailed. On to another book.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

64 degrees right now, and lovin’ it! We got a little thundershower last night…….from the Pacific hurricane “Fabio”. He broke up, and the L.A. area got hit with it on Wednesday and Thursday, and we got the remnants last night. Medium winds and big drops, and lots of noise. We loved it.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

I know this is going to sound trivial, but I took off my acrylic nails the other day, and I am having the devil’s own time typing. I am so used to the longer nails (and I keep mine a lot shorter than most) that not having them is making me crazy (with the keyboards)!

I used to read all the time, but now it gives me a headache if I read for more than a few minutes. I really miss being able to read for hours. :-((

P.S. The frame brings the color out much better.

I love to read, and can still spend hours at it, but after a few hours I have to change my focus and look at something farther away for a while. My eyes just refuse to focus on the page after several hours of reading or staring at the computer screen.
