@Arye – I want it understood that I try to be as reasonable and tolerant as the next guy. I have gay fiends and gay relatives and we get along just fine. What I was referring to was the constant barrage of gay and lesbian references in today’s media. I feel like it’s just constantly being thrown in my face, and find it more than annoying. I felt like the comics pages were the last refuge of gay/lesbian free literature. But, alas! Even “Archie” had to introduce a gay character. This business began back in the 50s in Hollywood, when a coalition of gays declared a manifesto to change the values of the American people and make the gay/lesbian lifestyle not only accepted, but established as part of the norm. This collusion has been referred to as the Hollywood Gay Mafia. And a look at history will reveal total success in their endeavor. It has gone from innocent cross-dressing in “Tootsie” and “Mrs. Doubtfire” to gay men tongue kissing on daytime soaps. I have reached a time in my life where I don’t care anymore if people want to label me “conspiracist” or even “bigot.” I don’t cram my beliefs down other people’s throats and just simply expect the same courtesy from them.
