MARY WORTH: Wy do they need a bigger apartment?I assume Elinor and Beth had a 2-bedroom. As a married couple, Beth and Tom will need just 1 bedroom and Elinor will use the other 1. Now,an apartment with 2 bathrooms wpould be practicaal.

REX AND 3G: Nothing really is happening.

MARY WORTH: @Arye: A young married couple needs some privacy. I think they should buy a house and add a “mother-in-law” suite. I wonder if this story arc is really over…could there be more drama ahead for Beth & Tom?
REX MORGAN: Rex, June & Becka appear in today’s strip. Wasn’t the woman with Sarah at the museum named Heather…who is Heather? (I think I had her confused with Becka.) ?
PHANTOM: Great line! (“Are you not seeing what I’m not seeing?”) Did the time-traveling aeronaut go back to 1915? Is P. going to follow?

MARK TRAIL: I like the scenic panel 2. In panel 3, Big Bad Mike shows us he’s a bad guy by pouring himself a stiff drink in the middle of the day.

Judge Parker – It could be that the reviewer actually loves tuna salad.
Rex Morgan – I’m sorry, but I’m still finding this story just too unbelievable. The museum offers a book deal to a little girl when all they’ve seen is a few pictures and no example of her writing ability? Give me a break.
Mark Trail – When is Mark going to call the police?
Phantom – Maybe we’re having a crossover with Alley Oop. Doc Wonmug’s time machine is causing the disappearances.

MARY WORTH – I once rented what was called a mother-in-law home. There was a much bigger house near it. Will Mary help Elinor get used to the idea of staying at Charterstone by herself and let the new couple live on their own?

REX MORGAN: I find it quite believable. I am assuming the museum will self-publish the book/booklet for sale in their gift shop and Sarah will get a percentage of the sale of each book. I think it’s a cute idea and will sell. A friend of mine did something similar with her “Area Walking Tour” books; she self-published and then took the books around to local hotel gift shops, etc.. where they were displayed & sold (Colorado). Said friend used a computer, photocopier, and spiral binding that can be done with your own equipment or by using the equipment available at the the local office-supply store. They call it “Desktop Publishing”!

What you are describing sounds a lot like a “Dower House”. When a lord/earl/duke/baron, etc. passed away, his widow would live in the Dower House (as the dowager countess/duchess/baroness, etc.) while the new lord would reside in the manor house with his wife.
I guess without “nobility” in this country, a mother-in-law house would be the new terminology.

@Florchi: Heather is Milton’s wife. You know, the man we are waiting to have a heart attack.
All of the strips are boring and being dragged out.

Mary Worth – I thought this story was over several days ago.
Rex Morgan – I agree with Florchi. A child’s view of the museum is a good idea for the gift shop and they can edit heavily if need be. But, WHAT ABOUT REX’S PATIENTS?
Judge Parker – The cruise, a wedding in a remote jungle destination, the dying father, the guy with the binoculars, Thalia and the kidnapped husband have all held my interest. But I can’t work up any passion over one bad book review.
Phantom – Some stories, like the Chinese mob in Mexico, were interesting and seemed possible. But this WWI boy, appearing and disappearing, is a bit too fantastic.

Prince Valiant – Arn is Val’s son and is the regent? He almost looks older than his parents.

A3G – June 4, Marty says he’s been sick. Now she insists he isn’t sick. A poster at azcentral a couple of weeks ago described this strip as random statements just thrown out there with no coherence. Today is a perfect example.
Mary Worth – Poster 1 at az posts a picture of Tom as we first saw him.
