APT3G: Doesn’t Greg know yet that Tommie is Margo’s roommate? I guess not.
MARY WORTH: Whew! They got that work of art on the judge’s table. My guess as to why people attend cake-judging contests is to get free slices of cake after the cakes are judged.
REX MORGAN: Delores must have guessed and kept accurate records of her intuition to arrive at the figure 97%.

FUNKY W: In last Sunday’s sepia flashback, Fred (in his role as principal at Westview High) was talking to a school football player and said something about the coach kidnapping his (Fred’s) daughter… then he said, “just kidding.” How does this football flashback play into the story of Kerry, the estranged daughter? What does the coach have to do with it?
MARK TRAIL: Catfish takes the van with the (presumed) SCUBA gear and heads off to the prearranged fishing location. I don’t think the (presumed) captive live bass are in the van – I think they being kept underwater at the prearranged location.
APT 3-G: Why is Greg so confused? ( I thought he was sober and Margo was the one who was inebriated.) Are we ever going to find out what was in Evan’s mysterious package???
JUDGE PARKER: What with cell phones, a “Mail Call” app on our computers, etc., we can end up leading ON CALL lives. I’m not sure this is “progress.”

@Florchi
good questions re FUNKY. I’m straining my memory as I’ve read the strip as long as I can remember but with the few changes in the ages of the characters, its difficult to remember many details. Please let us know if you do any research.

A3G – Tommie works so much that maybe she never met Greg. It appear that the nurse didn’t tell her that some people from the apartments are in the hospital. Greg may be confused from the trauma and breathing smoke.
Judge Parker – When loved ones are far away, the internet can be a good way to keep in touch, but sometimes it seems to be used as a way to avoid direct contact with people who are nearby.
RMMD – Will Rex be curious about the sex of thier expected child? Would he give Delores a job in his office as his secret diagnostician?
Mary Worth – The cake that was dropped was all lavendar. Maybe begin monochromatic was a requirement. Ha-ha!

Sweetbill: Regarding my comment about being bored yesterday, I actually love “Cake Boss” and even “Next Great Baker”. The difference is that they don’t show in real time every detail of pouring sugar and flour into a bowl and mixing it up with eggs, etc., etc., etc. The idea of being in an audience watching hour upon hour of folks mixing, baking, cooling and then finally decorating (the interesting part) cakes is not appealing to me. They were given 6 hours (according to the 1/28 strip) to create those cakes, but at least three hours of it would be in the mixing, baking and cooling stages. On NGB, the cake is already baked and cooled and the 6 hours is for designing and decorating only.

REX- Me thinks (panel #3) Rex looks like he’s getting a little
skeptical of D’s “BS” intuition- huh?
3G- Greg appears to be in shock – not feeling/ thinking clearly!
MW- MW-" true grit" – Mary has a little of JOHN WAYNES
movie (1969) in her thoughts……………………………………….
JP- If Neddy didn’t mention “Thalia” in her E-mails, maybe she has something to hide about Ned. (art gallerty- drugs)
maybe the nurse has a second income (illegal) with her use
of Neds money flow……………………………

Mary Worth: Could the judge’s table be any smaller?
