   Just returning home from a book tour is retired Judge Alan Parker. He is met by his son Judge Randy Parker who recently became engaged to April. Kathleen is the older judge’s wife and, I believe, Randy’s stepmother. In recent years, stories have revolved more around Sam, an attorney colleague.

   MARY WORTH:Jim has finally come around, but why didn’t he respond to all of Dawn’s electronic messages. And they’re meeting by the pier, of all places, the place that Jim fears the most! It also occurs to me that Dawn may have encountered Jim at the same place she first met him: The cafeteria.

   SALLY FORTH: Is this an example of breaking the 4th wall?

   REX MORGAN: Delores seems more impressed by the romantic and social aspects of Rex rather thsan by his medical skills.

   Judge Parker – last panel reveals that Randy and April want to elope. The women in the family will be disappointed, but it doesn’t seem like a big deal to me.
   Mary Worth – last panel, Jim appears. It looks like he’s used the time to pull himself together, probably with the help of a therapist. Wish it was so easy, in just a few weeks. Wonder if he’ll still want a romantic relationship or will just appreciate her friendship and be ready to move on. Hope the strip does too.
   Rex – Delores is very blunt. Being sick is kinda like getting old – don’t have time to play games.

   What’s up with gocomics? Dick Tracy didn’t update for two days, just a red X. By clicking on Comments anyway, the strip would appear. True of a couple of other comics as well.

    FUNKY W: I like the way the character is assessing the individual books in his library as he gets ready to see some of them. I wonder if he is aware of the current U.S. Supreme Court case related to copyright issues when selling used books (Kirtsaeng v. John Wiley & Sons).

    MARY WORTH: Jim has a big smile and, even though we can’t see it, a prosthetic (his sleeve is no longer pinned up and his “hand” is out of view). But if he believes that Dawn will change her mind now that he has two arms, his smile may soon fade.
