APT3G: Well, a beautiful baby girl was born; it ended well; now nursing time. It happened more quickly than in

MARY WORTH: I was hoping that the Sunday edition would show what was happened on the cruise ship, but most of Sunday’s strip had Mary philosophying – I think it will take longer to find out what is going on than Nina’s baby took to be born.

REX MORGAN: I guess I can’t live on a horse farm because I never acquired a taste for coffee – not even coffee icecream.

Judge Parker – I think Sam and Avery are being much too congenial here. I’d never agree to an arrangement like that unless it means I get the room free.
Mandrake – So what’s wrong with being a vigilante in a top hat? If vigilantes get the job done as efficiently as Mandrake does, I don’t care what they wear on their heads.
Mark Trail – What are the laws about shooting game from an airplane? I know it must vary from state to state, but isn’t this illegal in most states?
Phantom – This one has me puzzled. There must be some identifying marks on his body, or even lack of marks, that would give away the disguise.
Rex Morgan – Nothing new here. It’s more of a Monday recap from Sunday.
@Arye – I drink 4 cups every morning, but I hate coffee icecream. Yucch!

APT3G: I doubt Nina could be standing minutes after giving birth.
Mark Trail: this is almost always illegal
Phantom: David is right, especially if they’ve wrestled a hundred times
Mary Worth: I don’t think they want to scare guests for a dinner theater so i’ll change my mind about that idea.

Mary Worth: Do you think they will end up on Gilligan’s Island?

REX MORGAN: I am still hoping that we learn more about Foster’s story, “Chasing Mildred.” Mildred was Iris’ mom, so the “roll in the hay” young Sarah spotted in the manuscript is intriguing.
FUNKY W: According to my research, altitude sickness can cause nausea accompanied by an intense headache and, sometimes, hallucinations. Kili has 5 climate zones: savannah, forest, heather, desert, & glacial plateau—and the altitude sickness problem usually kicks in over 8,000 feet. The savannah is 1/2 mile above sea level (approx. 2640 ft.) and the summit is 19,341 feet above sea level (at the Uhuru Peak/Kibo Peak). It looks like our group of hikers is only at the forest-zone level, so I’m surprised Les is already seeing things. I have long been fascinated by Mt. Kilimanjaro and continue to enjoy this story arc even if I have to suspend disbelief every now and then.

Rex – I also hope there’s more to this story: background on Foster from the book, was Mabel’s story completely accurate, is she charged with anything, etc.. I think Iris will be a re-occuring character; they will visit her on the ranch.
A3G – Yea! It’s a girl! I didn’t think we’d get this news until tomorrow, or even later.
Judge Parker – I agree with David. Maybe Sam is suspicious already and wants a chance to investigate.
Mary Worth – Maybe a brush with death will wake Dawn up and she will emerge saying, “Life is beautiful”!
Phantom – I agree with David, this is too far-fetched. I enjoyed this story until recently; now I just want to get it over.

Both Judge Parker and Mark Trail have stories dealing with growing of illegal plants. I wonder if the shrubs in Prince Valiant are similar.
Both Judge Parker and Mark Trail have also had stories of photos of illegal activity which gets people in trouble.
    Is this coincidence?

I’m with you Arye. Don’t like coffee-flavored anything.
MW Dawn speculates about an earthquake. At sea?
Phantom Kit thinks his different fighting style will be enough to confuse Victor and thus dismisses the identity thing. My reaction? Kit, your skin is a different color from Ernesto (see Sunday’s strip). You think no one will notice under those bright lights?
Rex I agree that some of the threads of this story still need tying up. I doubt we’ll ever learn much about the novel, but Mabel’s fate, and the amazing mid-story name changes have still to be illuminated.

REX- Rex,June and Iris are building a relationship-
We still need to know about Mabel and yes- Chasing.Mildred

3G- No “boiling water” :-) -will they name her after Tommie or Ninas’ Mom

MW- Maybe the propeller hit something- had that happen once- bad vibration

JP- Booze flowin’-money flowin’- wonder if their “bridal suite”

    1. has cameras’ and listening devices?

@marvee- Those plants on Prince Valiant- sure look like some type of poison plant- that has been harvested and now are dead as everything around them on their walk are in full bloom- so, going to agree with you

    @marvee

And several current stories involve travel: Phantom (to Mexico), Mary Worth (to Italy), Funky W. (to Tanzania), and Judge Parker (to Cherry Creek, USA)…not to mention Alley Oop here @ gocomics who has traveled, via time machine, from prehistoric Moo to Chichen Itza approx. 600 A.D.
MARY WORTH: I am going to go out on a limb and make a guess that the cruise ship didn’t hit anything (or run aground), but that something hit the cruise ship.
